A section of Kamba elders have resolved to back President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election bid during the next general elections.

Led by the Mau Mau War Veterans Association Chairman, Rev. Peter Kiiti, the elders noted that President Kenyatta's scorecard is commendable and therefore deserves a second term.

They further took a swipe on Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, branding him 'an enemy of development.'

They argued that the former Vice President had held influential government positions, but did so little to improve the locals' living standards.

“Kalonzo has been in key government positions and has never influenced development projects in this region,” they said.

The elders' endorsement for the re-election of President Kenyatta comes ahead of the Head of State's tour of Ukambani region scheduled for Thursday.
