The elders have vowed to use all means to bring back Kiala’s daughter after she was kidnapped on Wednesday.

Speaking on behalf of the elders Paul Musembi said that they have given kidnappers a period of seven days to free her or they face their wrath. The elders have affirmed to conduct a traditional oath known as ‘Kithitu’.

“If they want peace, let them release Kiala’s daughter without any demands because if they don’t, we will teach them the lesson of their lifetime. This is totally unacceptable,” he said, as quoted by The Star.

According to the elders, leaders who are trying to frustrate Kiala to drop out of the gubernatorial race will not make it.

“Those trying to intimidate Kiala to stop his Machakos governor bid will be in for a rude shock. You cannot ask someone to drop is bid by kidnapping his kid, that is a very inhumane way of doing things.”

They also called upon the police to act fast before they resort to traditional methods.

Kiala has confirmed that the police are still pursuing the kidnappers.
