Kamba elders have called an end to the ongoing demonstrations organized by NASA leaders.

Akamba clans governing council said the protests have caused the destruction of property which amounts to economic sabotage and should be stopped forthwith.

"Opposition demonstrations are no longer peaceful. Property worth thousands of shillings has been destroyed. Investors have kept off due to the unrest. The economy is worsening. NASA should call off the demonstrations and look for a better alternative," the group's chairman Boniface Kilonzo said.

According to Kilonzo, if the demos continues the country will go into violence thus more lives and destruction of property will be witnessed.

NASA has intensified anti-IEBC demos across the country seeking the removal of IEBC top officials who bungled August 8, presidential polls.

On Thursday, Acting Interior Cs Fred Matiang'i said the government will not allow demonstrations in the CBDs of Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu towns due to the massive destruction of property and businesses premises in the past anti-IEBC demons.
