Munyaka said the leaders who attended the meeting discussed 2022 general elections yet it is early to talk politics ahead of the next polls.

"The meeting didn't resolve on what direction the Kamba nation should take now, it only discussed the 2022 politics," Munyaka said.

The MP spoke at Mumbuni Chief's camp in his constituency as he disbursed bursary cheques to orphans and vulnerable children on Tuesday.

He said the meeting failed to give the Kamba community direction between now and 2022.

According to Munyaka, the meeting was conducted by selfish leaders who only thought about themselves and their political bids come 2022 and nothing to do with the locals.

Munyaka told Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua to focus on fulfilling his promises to electorates before launching his campaigns in other counties.

He said Machakos residents don't pay taxes to facilitate Mutua's visits to other counties but to serve them.

"Machakos residents didn't elect you to traverse the country campaigning for yourself, they chose you to finish the work you started. So, stop misusing the people's tax by making unnecessary trips," Munyaka said.
