Renowned Kamba secular artist Ben Mbatha alias Kativui was on May 12 involved in a road accident at Kiatineni area along Machakos-Kitui road.
Kativui is a leader of Kyaume band.
According to eye a witness the car which Kativui was driving seemed to have developed mechanical problems as it was moving at a very high speed before it collided with a long truck.
"At first i thought it was a normal behaviour of some drivers in which most of them are ever reckless when driving along the road before i realised the car had some mechanical problems therefore collided with long truck leaving kamba secular artist injured,"said Maithya.
He was rushed to nearby hospital by wwell-wishers where he was treated and later discharged.
His car was taken to Makueni police station as investigations on the cause of the accident kicks off.
