Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama has insisted that the Kamba community will stand with National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga.

Speaking on Tuesday, the firebrand politicians asked different leaders including Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua to desist from using the community for their political gains. He maintained that there is nothing the community stands to gain for being part of the Jubilee government.

“Mutua should stop bargaining his interests using the kamba community name and know that we Kambas will never be part of Jubilee,” he said on Tuesday.

The sentiments of the lawmaker come at a time when the opposition has maintained that it will not take part in the fresh election.

Raila, who is expected to contest for the nation’s top seat for his fourth time, opted to drop from the race after The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) allegedly refused to heed to his demands.  The former prime minister and his brigades wanted the commission to adopt a number of reforms including dismissal of different officials such as CEO Ezra Chiloba.
