Tala Member of County Assembly Alex Kamitu has promised Katine residents that he will upgrade the Manza stadium if they re-elect him come August 8.
Kamitu was speaking as he graced the Katine Soccer tournament that featured 4 teams drawn from the area where he assured residents he will fully support sporting events within the area.
"Majority of youths here are talented and I really love nurturing someone's talent. I will ensure that there are a couple of football tournaments every month and construct a better stadium for my people," said Kamitu.
He further challenged his opponents vying for the MCA seat in Tala to address residents and share their manifesto, terming them as hypocrites.
"For five years, my opponents have been heckling and spreading lies concerning the development projects that I have been launching for my people. I will continue working and launching more projects in order to sustain the livelihoods of my people," Kamitu added.
He also called on youths in the region to turn up in large numbers and showcase their football talents as he seeks to improve the level of football competition within the area
