Tala Member of County Assembly Alex Kamitu has called on Tala residents to focus on change and development and forget about the Petition that was filed against him by former Tala Councilor Boniface Muisyo.

Kamitu said that Muisyo is a leader with no ambition and his intentions are to disrupt the development projects that he has initiated within Tala.

"I can tell you for free that the Petition Muisyo has filed against me will not pass. I believe in free and fair elections. Tala people voted and elected me to be their Member of County Assembly. Ignore that Man and let us focus on developing our town," said Kamitu.

Kamitu urged the residents to stop making hate speeches but rather come together and work to ensure that all development projects within the area are achieved.

The Petition case that was filed against Kamitu by Boniface Muisyo is set for the third ruling by a Kangundo magistrate on 25th October, a day just before a repeat of the Presidential elections.

This is the second time Kamitu has been challenged in court by Muisyo after a similar incident happened in 2012 but unfortunately, Muisyo lost the Petition.
