Baringo County Assembly Speaker William Kamket has come out to refute strongly claims going around that he has a hand in the ongoing insecurity issue in Baringo County that has led to the death of innocent souls.
While addressing media in Nakuru on Thursday, Kamket slammed at those insinuating that he has been inciting a particular community against the other in Baringo.
“We are very sad over what is happening so for anyone to insinuate in any way that William Kamket has been inciting the people that is far from the point. We hope the Governmnet will move with speed to ensure that security is restored in Baringo” he said.
He urged political leaders to stop politicizing the security issues that has seen several lives lost in Baringo County.
His sentiments were echoed by West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo who appealed for sobriety in dealing with the matter.
Senator Lonyangapuo urged the residents of Tiatty Constituency in Baringo to stop taking law in their hands whenever a situation happens.
“I would like to urge residents of Tiatty and Baringo County as a whole that let us not take the law in our hands especially at this time that we are mourning their leaders who died. Let us be patient as the Government takes responsibility” the Senator said.
