Muli said the schools some of which were in pathetic infrastructural conditions will be improved once and for all.

He spoke during a meeting with over 60 primary schools teachers from the constituency at his office in Kangundo town on Friday.

Muli said agenda of the meeting was ‘strategic plan to improve schools infrastructures in the entire Kangundo constituency’.

He said all the public schools, both primary and secondary will be modernized using the Constituency Development Fund.

Muli said the first phase of the project will include improving sanitation facilities in the schools.

He said all teachers, students and teachers’ toilets will be constructed to recommended standards.

The legislature added that his office will fence all the schools and ensure all are provided with modern gates to enhance the safety of pupils, students and schools’ properties which had been procured using taxpayers’ monies.

Those who attended the meeting included Kangundo Sub County education officer Hadad Wanjau, area KEPSHA chairman Ken Muindi, Kangundo Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) chairman Raphael Ndavi and secretary Daniel Nginga.
