Kangundo MP Kyengo Maweu has warned his competitors who wish to vie for the of the position in the area to stop dragging his name in the mud.
Speaking in Kangundo Town on Monday, Maweu said that many of his competitors are trying to fault his development plans in Kangundo so as to make him lose trust in the eyes of the residents.
The MP said he still has time before the next general elections, thus he should be given ample time to complete projects in the constituency.
"You can not build your name by spoiling others and neither can you go up by pulling others down,” said Maweu.
This comes after he was heckled by a crowd as he was delivering his speech during the Jamhuri day celebrations.
The crowd mocked him telling him to sit down, demanding for another politician to speak.
The MP said he will still vie for the seat in 2017 despite pressure from eleven aspirants who have declared their interest in the seat.
He said he is still confident that the residents will consider him for a second term.
