Confirming the unfortunate incident on Sunday, Kangundo Sub-County OCPD Joseph Chesire stated two accidents had claimed three people on Saturday while four others died on Sunday.

"There is a saloon car that had four occupants, two ladies and two men and cannot state right now if the driver was drunk or tired but smashed and rolled into the bridge and killed the four occupants," said Chesire.

The police boss further stated the accident occured at Josca bridge near Malaa location.

However, Chesire cautioned drivers against driving fast or while drunk as it happens during the weekend.

"Drivers are supposed to be very careful and shouldn't drive while tired or drunk to avoid accidents," he added.

The residents have however stated the road is in a bad state with huge potholes which are causing accidents mainly to the new road users.
