Residents of Kangundo and Matungulu East Wars on Monday were a happy lot after a section of them sought help from the Machakos County governors' office.
A part of the residents decided to camp outside Governor Dr Alfred Mutuas' office requesting for a borehole due to water shortage in their area.
Led by Boniface Munavua community leader, the residents were issued with a borehole drilling truck an exercise to be carried in Katunga hills.
"Together with men and women we left and by 7 we were at the governors office to get a solution to our water problems. We were sure that the Dr Mutua was aware of our complains," said Munavu.
The residents were grateful to the governor for providing both the drilling machines and the professionals trained to drill the boreholes.
The borehole is set to benefit over 10,000 residents of the Matungulu East and a part of Kangundo area.
