Residents of Kangundo sub-county have been urged to avoid using demonstration whenever they want something done.
This message was sent out by Kangundo sub-county administrator Ann Masai after traders in the town demonstrated, complaining of the market being dirty and and in bad state.
Masai, who addressed the traders that marched to her office, told them that there are other ways of solving issues without having to demonstrate and block roads.
"I'm sure we can reach agreements without having to waste time demonstrating,'' said Masai.
She said that arbitration and discussions could be used where the problems will be outlined and solutions found.
However, Kangundo market chairman Christopher Kyalo said in an interview that demonstrations were the one and only language many authorities understand.
"How many times have we sent letters of complaint to the administrators' office but they have all been ignored,'' said Kyalo.
This comes a week after bodaboda operators in the town demonstrated complaining of lack of shades and poor roads. The Adminstrator promised the traders to look into the matter as soon as possible.
