Celebrated Ugandan comedian Kansime has congratulated Vincent Mwasia Mutua popularly known as Chipukeezy after he landed a new appointment to the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).
Speaking upon her arrival in the country for the Chipukeezy’s comedy show to be held at the KICC on Saturday, the comedian said that he deserves credit following the new job. She went ahead to wish him as he takes the duty.
“You are worth the position since you have been a role model and a voice for many young people who need to relate with someone with you in the fight against drug abuse, which is part of your mandate,” Kansime told Chipukeezy.
She was among the first continental comedians to arrive ahead of Chipukeezy’s comedy show to be held at the KICC on Saturday. According to a Kenya Gazette notice dated the 6th of June, Chipukeezy is expected to hold the position for a period of three years.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (1) of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse Act, the Cabinet Secretary, Interior and Co-ordination of National Government appoints- Under Paragraph (h) Vincent Mwasia Mutua Under Paragraph George Ogalo to be members of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 6th June, 2018,” read the notice.
