Just hours after the Kenya African National Union (KANU) declared its support for President Uhuru Kenyatta re-election bid, renown political analyst Herman Manyora termed them not a serious party.

Manyora was speaking on Citizen TV on Wednesday when he dismissed the independence party.

"A serious party will want to join government but KANU is not a serious party," said Manyora.

"A serious party goes for power not to support others to get power," he added.

KANU vowed to support Uhuru after flirting with Opposition NASA severally through their Secretary General Nick Salat.
