Few weeks after Kenya's mother party, Kanu, endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta for re-election, some rival politicians have attacked it.
Led by Eldama Ravine MP Moses Lessonet, who secured a Jubilee Party ticket to defend his seat in August elections, they said Kanu was no more.
According to them, the Baringo senator, Gideon Moi, led party sensed defeat, hence its support for Uhuru.
Speaking at ASK grounds in Kabarnet, Baringo, Lessonet asked Kanu members and supporters to fold up, and join Jubilee, since it backs the incumbent government.
"Kanu is dead and long gone. We don't recognise it anymore. Jubilee has taken over Baringo and Kanu is not in people's minds,'' said the MP, as quoted by the Star.
Also present at the event was Jubilee gubernatorial nominee, Stanley Kiptis, who wants to unseat Benjamin Cheboyi, Woman Representative aspirant, Susan Chesiyna, Baringo North MP William Cheptumo, among others.
During the, Monday, event, several primaries winners were issued with Jubilee nomination certificates.
