The Kenya National African Union (KANU) is yet to clearly state it's position on which coalition they will support between Jubilee and NASA or imminent plans of going solo in the August 8th polls.
Of late the independent party has been giving out mixed signals on which front they will support, just recently Kanu's Secretary general Nick Salat and nominated Senator Zipporah Kittony revealed that they are ready to work with NASA.
However, on Tuesday morning West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo who was elected on a Kanu ticket countered Salat's sentiments by dismissing Kanu's NASA links.
"Kanu is housed in West Pokot. We are so attached, our old men told us we must stick to the independent party. As Kanu, we are in the Jubilee coalition," said Lonyangapuo.
The Senator also exuded confidence that with Kanu's support President Uhuru Kenyatta will win in 2017.
"With combined support of Kenyans across the board, the President can fairly do well," he added.
In a quick rejoinder, political analyst Barack Muluka who was also on the panel said Kanu has nothing to offer to Kenyans and is the genesis of all problems in the country.
"Kanu represents everything that has gone wrong in this country, from independence to even now as we sit here," said Muluka.
Former Cabinet Minister Samuel Phogisio who also hails from Pokot also declared he supports Uhuru's re-election.
