Kanu politicians have praised ODM party leader Raila Odinga's relentless fight against corruption in the country.
They said Raila's consistent fight against graft had lowered the rate at which public funds are swindled from the public coffers.
West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo and Civil Aviation Authority Chairman Samuel Poghisio said if it were not for Raila, Kenyan's wouldn't have never know about mega scandals including the NYS, SGR, Eurobond and Health Ministry among others.
They asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, Wiliam Ruto to cooperate with the opposition in fighting corruption.
"The government should allow Cord to perform its duties. In every country there must be an opposition that acts as the watchdog," Lonyangapuo said in Kaibos on Saturday.
The two made the remarks less than a week after Mr Uhuru criticised Mr Odinga for what he termed the latter's attempts to discredit the government.
Lonyangapuo said Kanu will support Jubilee's quest to retain power in 2017 but reiterated the party will not be dissolved.
"Kanu does not have a presidential candidate," he added.
"We are fighting to see that Kanu remains strong in this county and nation at large. We are not moving to join Jubilee but we shall support Uhuru."
Poghisio on his part said: "We are not barring anybody from visiting this county but when they come they should not insult elected leaders."
DP Ruto has consistently criticised Kanu Chairman and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.
"We need peaceful campaigns and elections free from violence," he said.
