Emurua Dikir MP Johanna Ng’eno has unconditionally apologized to DP William Ruto for being ‘disrespectful’ prior to August 8 elections.
Ng’eno, a KANU legislator, opposed reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta and in many opposition rallies; he often questioned the leadership ability of Ruto.
At Kapkatet on Friday, Ng’eno regretted his ‘bad’ approach and vowed to ensure his criticism translates to votes in favour of Jubilee.
“I am very humbled to be here today and I want to ask for forgiveness. I may have been unkind to the DP but I beg for forgiveness.
“There comes a time when we have to bury our past and certainly this is the time. Let us help Uhuru Kenyatta win and prepare ourselves for 2022,” Ng’eno told a huge gathering.
In many of his public rallies, Ng’eno lectured Rutto and often accused him of dictatorship approach when handling Rift Valley leaders.
Analysts say the latest twist of events could perhaps signify the battle ahead between Gideon Moi and DP Rutto, given that Ng’eno is a close ally of Moi.
