Independence party KANU has assured President Uhuru Kenyatta of support in his re-election bid.

Kanu secretary general Nick Salat has said the party will support Jubilee to the end.

"I assure Uhuru that the decision we made in Kasarani stadium is binding and nobody will frighten us," he said at a rally in Kuresoi on Saturday.

Salat further called on Deputy President William Ruto for talks in order to mend broken bridges.

"Mr Deputy President, should we have wronged each other, let's talk and agree. We should be united," Salat said.

Last week, Kanu chairman Gideon Moi was set to meet with President Uhuru Kenyatta to discuss arising matters specifically alleged insults from Deputy President William Ruto.

A section of Kanu leaders had earlier accused Ruto of insulting its members.
