Kanu national chairman Gideon Moi has assured women aspirants that his party will support the two-thirds gender rule.

Speaking in Nakuru, Friday, during women aspirant meeting, he said the party has put in place measures that will see the rule being implemented.

“Kanu is committed to supporting women aspirants and has put in place strategies to ensure the two thirds gender rule is attained,” said Gideon.

The Baringo senator noted the party would not tolerate any incidences of chaos that may arise during and after the party’s primaries.

“We will not condone any form of violence be it during the party primaries or after and as the chairman, I assure you that if a case is reported, the party through its conflict resolution team will deal with it,” he added.

He also assured the aspirants the party would support them during nominations and the general election.

The Jogoo party received a boost during the event after Samburu Women Representative Maison Leshomo and nominated senator Naisula Lesuuda joined the party after decamping from Jubilee.
