Tiaty Member of Parliament (MP) William Kamket has said that independence party KANU is set to unveil its presidential candidate soon.
Kamket has further urged supporters to rally behind the party.
Speaking during a fundraising at AIC Moi girls in Maralal town, Samburu County, Mr. Kamket said there are indications that KANU will be a great force to reckon with in the next General Election.
“We have moved to different parties but we are finally coming back home and KANU is home, the party of our parents,” he said.
He added that KANU under the leadership of Gideon Moi will be initiating a dialogue with Kenyans from other political parties to form a coalition.
“KANU is being rebuilt afresh and KANU supporters across the country should start preparing offices as there is light at the end,” he urged.
Kamket said leaders who were elected on the party’s tickets in the previous election will continue supporting President Kenyatta’s government to deliver on its pledges.
