Independence party, KANU, has threatened to withdraw its support for Jubilee Party.
KANU chairperson Gideon Moi says the party will meet President Uhuru Kenyatta to discuss the issue before they decide on their next course of action.
His sentiments coming as Nyandarua Women Representative Wanjiku Muhia cried foul over what she termed as unfair treatment by Jubilee officials after they handed a nomination to her competitor Faith Gitau despite the court ordering for fresh nominations.
Speaking during the launch of a manifesto for Silvester Ntutu, who is seeking to be elected as Narok South MP, KANU chairperson Gideon Moi said it was disheartening to see elected leaders threatened to the point they cannot express their views, pointing an accusing finger to the Deputy President.
The KANU chairman’s sentiments were echoed by Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno, and Kanu Secretary General Nick Salat who warned the Jubilee leaders of irresponsible statements towards leaders in the Rift Valley, threatening to join NASA if their warning is not respected.
While cross section of Maasai leaders have lashed out at National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale for what they allage is reckless remarks.
The leaders said the reckless remarks were to blame for the warning popularity of the party in the region.
Elsewhere in Samburu, a section of elders have endorsed Samburu County Governor Moses Lenolkulal to vie for a second term in the August 8th elections.
The elders say Lenolkulal’s leadership has spurred development in the county and his mandate deserves extension.
