Kanu party Chairman and Baringo senator Gideon Moi has said that the party will not be compelled to join the newly formed Jubilee Party.
Speaking during a burial in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County, Moi said the party would not be forced to fold and join their Jubilee counterparts.
“…I’m tired and I feel bitter as others call us Top-Up. Now we have a population of 200,000, we need to be 500 thousand so that we can dictate our terms," said Moi.
Moi added that it was high time the Tugen community decided which political direction they would follow so that they could also benefit politically.
He further urged residents to register as voters in order to increase their stakes and say in the Kenyan politics.
Moi's remarks come just a week after several parties folded up to join the Jubilee Party.
