National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) chairman, Francis Ole Kaparo has cautioned people engaging in spreading hate messages.

Kaparo says the people who incite others and spread hate speech will face the law.

Speaking on Wednesday in a KBC news bulletin, Kaparo pointed out that NCIC would deal with hate mongers regardless of their political affiliations.

“NCIC and Directorate of Criminal investigations will work together to ensure that hate mongers and inciters, wherever they are, will be dealt with immediately and action taken against them,’’ said Ole Kaparo.

At the same time, he urged media houses to give blackout to politicians fond of uttering remarks that can spur violence in the country.

This comes after 8 legislators from the Jubilee and Cord sides were arrested over alleged hate speech are being detained.
