The NCIC team has launched a probe into the hate audio clip linked to National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale.
In the clip, the hate speaker asks youths to group and prevent people from the Kamba community from registering as voters in the August 8 general polls.
The youths are also supposed to prevent movement of the Kamba community members to poll centres in Garissa.
NCIC chairman Francis ole Kaparo has now said that the probe will be focused on establishing the origin of the two-minute clip.
"We have dispatched our detectives to establish where the audio was recorded and advise on further action," said Kaparo as quoted by the Star.
He added that they would complete their investigations and take action on the inciter regardless of his social standing in society.
"We have prosecuted such cases. Of course if evidence points to anyone, the person must be handled as per what the law stipulates on incitement," he said.
