Six people are feared dead following a bandit attack in Kapedo, at the boarder of Turkana-Baringo counties.
Three others are said to have been injured following an vengeful attack by Turkana gunmen, against Pokots in Kapedo, Saturday.
According to the Star, a witness, Lomudang Domonyang, said the men had carried guns in sacks which they used to shoot at people at the Kapedo shopping centre.
Domonyang revealed six people lost their lives while three got injured in the incident that happened around 3pm.
Among the injured were two women. One is admitted in Chemolingot Hospital, Tiaty sub-county while the other, one, who is nursing head injuries, was taken to Baringo Referral Hospital.
The incident is purported to have been a revenge after a Pokot gunman allegedly killed one person at Lokori in Turkana, Friday.
Reports indicate the gunmen stole unknown number of animals.
Baringo police boss, Peter Ndung’u, did not confirm the deaths. He however said measures had been put in place to beef up security in the region.
