Police in Kapsabet town have arrested a middle aged aged man for allegedly killing his wife for having an affair with a neighbour.
The man, 35, identified as Joseph Kiptanui is said to have attacked his wife after he found her with the neighbour.
Nandi Central OCPD Stephen Obala confirmed the incident saying the suspect stabbed the two using a kitchen knife at Kabutiei/Kipsamoo village in Chesumei, Nandi County.
"The suspect is said to have visited his neighbour only to find his wife with him having sex. The man was upset and picked a knife attacking the two," explained Obala.
"The man sustained injuries at his back while the wife succumbed to death following multiple chest and stomach injuries she also sustained from the attack," he added.
The body of the deceased was taken to the County Referral Hospital mortuary where it is expected to undergo post mortem.
The man who sustained injuries is also undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
