Karachuonyo MP James Rege has vowed to recapture his seat as an independent candidate ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking on Sunday, the legislator who was elected on an ODM Party ticket during the 2013 general elections observed that he had arrived at the decision after wide consultations with the constituents.
“I’m now prepared to face it off with my opponents, especially those from ODM,” he said in a telephone interview with the Star.
He exuded confidence of winning the seat, citing his development record for the past ten years.
He was first elected to the National Assembly in 2007.
Rege has since fallen out with the Orange Party's top leadership, and at one time was accused of being a Jubilee Party mole.
