Kariobangi Sharks head coach William Muluya has reaffirmed his team’s aim of finishing among the top 8 best teams in the Sportpesa Premier League this season.
“Despite only managing one win in the last 5 league matches, the team is keen on bagging three points when it comes up against Nzoia Sugar this weekend,” said Muluya.
After going four matches without registering a win, Kariobangi Sharks thrashed bottom-placed Muhoroni Youth 7-0 last weekend, a win that coach William Muluya views as motivation for his charges ahead of their weekend fixture against Nzoia Sugar.
Sharks who are at position 6 on the log on 46 points, while Nzoia, who were also promoted to the Sportpesa Premier League this season, are eighth on 43 points.
Muluya dismissed critics who were attributing the team’s success to its close association with Football Kenya Federation’s top management.
