Kariobangi Sharks mercilessly mauled poor Muhoroni Youth at the Kasarani stadium in Nairobi on Saturday.
Matching Edwin Lavatsa’s exploit of three days ago, Masoud Juma scored four goals to rise to the top of the league scorers’ charts.
The razor-sharp Juma opened his scoring in the eighth minute and completed a brace two minutes later, an ominous sign to the out of sorts Muhoroni Youth.
Duke Abuya stepped up in the 23rd minute with a glancing header off Ovella Ochieng’s cross. Ochieng was next on the scoresheet five minutes before the break as Sharks went into the break 4-0 up.
The Kariobangi side was unrelenting in the second half as Juma notched his hat-trick two minutes after resumption after dispossessing Jacob Faina of the ball just outside the goalmouth to send it home.
Second half substitute Cavin Odongo combined with Mathew Tayo to extend Sharks’ tally in the 81st minute before man-of-the-match Juma put the icing on the cake with his fourth goal five minutes later for his season leading 15th strike.
