Kirinyaga county gubernatorial race is shaping out as a contest between two ladies former devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru against self-proclaimed iron lady and former Gichugu MP Martha Karua.

Results from two polling station out of the available 659 puts Waiguru behind Karua.

Waiguru has so far garnered 387 votes which are about 45.53 percent while Karua stands at 450 votes representing 52.94

Incumbent governor Joseph Ndathi is a distant fifth with only 3 vote.
