National Rainbow Coalition (Narc) party leader Martha Karua was among dignitaries who attended former President Daniel arap Moi's birthday party on Friday.
Karua joined Moi's family and friends in singing the birthday song to the former head of state who turned 92 on September 2, at his Baringo home.
Her attendance at the party comes when political re-allignments in the country are taking shape as the nation prepares for the 2017 general election.
Karua is presently close to ODM party leader Raila Odinga who is expected to contest for the presidency the fourth time in 2017.
The two, alongside Amani National Congress' Musalia Mudavadi and TNA Chairman Johnson Sakaja in July attended the Democratic Party Convention in Philadelphia in the United States.
The former Justice minister also attended Mr Moi's birthday party at a time Baringo Senator and Moi's son, Gideon Moi's relationship with Deputy President William Ruto's is frosty as the two fight to control the expansive and vote-rich Rift Valley region.
