Days after Uhuru Kenyatta sensationally called on the elderly leaders to retire, Narc Kenya leader, Martha Karua has come in support of Raila and his ilk.
At a recent interview with Citizen TV Karua said that she was not friends with Uhuru but enjoyed a relationship with him just like any other Kenya
According to the star on Tuesday, September 14, Uhuru Kenyatta through a phone call called on Raila and his ilk to tender their resignation saying their time was up.
His call was reportedly directed to ODM leader, Raila Odinga who is 71, Kalonzo recently clocked 62 while Wetangula is 59 going 60 saying that it was this generation of elderly leaders who had refused to quit politics that stood in the way of younger blood.
The reported phone call did not augur well with Narc Kenya Martha Karua who felt that Uhuru is least qualified to call on anyone to retire. Her comment was left on twitter following the news.“A competitor least qualified to call on one to retire.”
Uhuru’s phone call to the-Star likened the Cord co-principal to the relics of a dying era who needed to exit and pave way for the next generation of youthful leaders who had the energy and skill to steer the country into the next millenium.
This comes barely days after Raila was asked by Jubilee MP’s to apologise for using the ODM anniversary celebrations to nitpick on Uhuru Kenyatta’s leadership.
