Narc Kenya party boss Martha Marua has given two reasons why she is not interested in working with the government.Speaking at the Narc Kenya offices on Wednesday, the former Kirinyaga County gubernatorial aspirant said she is ready to work with the government but not from within."I can work with government but not as an insider with the government. I have been in cabinet and I don't wish to return to cabinet as it is now and I have not been offered," Karua stated.Karua who was floored by Ann Waiguru in the race to Kirinyaga county boss further stated that her main interest was not to work with the national government but to become the Kirinyaga county governor."I am not looking forward to being a member of government at the national level. My focus for this particular period is in the County," she stated as quoted by Kenyans.co.keBefore the August 8 general elections, President Uhuru Kenyatta in a rally in Kirinyaga asked residents to choose their suitable governor between the two and added that whoever will lose will still get a state job should he (Uhuru) be reelected.President Kenyatta who was sworn in on Tuesday is in the process of making changes in his new government as he develops his cabinet.
