Karua says that criticising the President without giving alternatives in fighting graft will not help address the issue.

According to the Daily Nation, Karua says that she will support President Uhuru in fighting corruption.

Speaking at Kianyaga Catholic Church in Gichugu on Thursday, Karua said that the war on graft must be supported by every stakeholder.

“President Kenyatta is doing his best to fight corruption and everyone should support him in getting rid of the vice,” she said as quoted by the Nation on Thursday.

Karua added that everyone should back the efforts being taken by the government to eliminate graft.

The Narc Kenya leader warned that corruption if not tamed will tear the country apart.

Karua a close ally of Cord leader Raila odinga also said that she will back President Kenyatta’s bid for a second term in 2017.

She said that her party will support Uhuru’s re-election because she is the people’s choice in Kirinyaga.

Karua who will be contesting for the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat said that her party will not field a presidential candidate in next year’s polls.

The Narc Kenya leader said she will be contesting on Narc Kenya ticket but the party will support Uhuru’s re-election bid.

Karua’s declaration to support Uhuru’s re-election in 2017 is a big blow to the opposition which has been wooing her to work with it ahead of 2017.

The opposition is said to have approached Karua in its quest to form a national super alliance that will unseat Uhuru’s government in 2017.
