Kirinyaga gubernatorial aspirant Martha Karua has warned National Super Alliance (NASA) against propaganda campaigns
Addressing supporters in Kirinyaga Town on Saturday, Karua asked NASA to campaign on issues.
She said that propaganda campaigns will not benefit Kenyans.
“I want urge politicians especially those in NASA to stop propaganda and engage Kenyans on issues that will benefit them,” she said as quoted by the Daily Nation.
Karua at the same time defended President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee administration development track record saying UhuRuto government has achieved most of the pledges it made to Kenyans in 2013.
“Uhuru’s government has achieved 90 percent of what he promised and he deserves a second term to complete the remaining 10 percent,” she said.
Karua urged Mt Kenya locals to come out in large numbers on August 8 to vote for Jubilee.
“If we say we love Uhuru then we must come out in masses to endorse his re-election in August,” she said as quoted by Daily Nation.
Karua will be battling out with former Devolution Cabinet Secretary (CS) Anne Waiguru for the Kirinyaga governor seat.
The Narc-Kenya party leader says that her political experience is an advantage for her as she seeks the Kirinyaga top seat.
Waiguru, on the other hand, says that she has the numbers on the ground to trounce Karua in August. On Saturday Waiguru vowed to floor Karua and incumbent Joseph Ndathi in the gubernatorial seat.
Karua will be contesting on her Narc Kenya party while Waiguru is vying on Jubilee Party ticket.
