Thang’wa who was speaking after launching registration of identity cards in his ward on Thursday morning noted that time had come for youths to claim leadership from ‘Old politicians’ by registering to vote their fellows come 2017.

He said that mobile registration had reduced congestion of applicants in Huduma centres. ‘We have witnessed a commendable decongestion of Huduma Centres and increase in registration of persons through mobile registration process which is a good thing that allows old and young to register efficiently without making long distances,’ he said.

The legislator who has been at loggerheads with Kiambu county government leadership said that he would vie for the MCA post again come 2017.

Thang’wa urged Ngewa residents to take advantage of the initiative to massively register for important national identification documents.

‘I appeal to Ngewa people to come out in large numbers to register for national identification cards. The youths who just completed basic schooling should also come out and register so long as they are 18 years. This way, we shall be able to make informed leadership decisions come 2017,’ said Thang’wa.

Meanwhile, the MCA urged the county to allocate more funds to road construction saying that his ward had three impassable roads that needed urgent renovation.
