National Police Service Commission Chairman (NPSC) Johnstone Kavuludi has revealed that commissioners involved in the vetting process have been receiving death threats.
The NPSC chair alleged that some police officers have threatened to kill the commissioners accusing them of bias during the vetting process.
However, Kavuludi has maintained that death threats will not deter his team from conducting vetting of the officers.
"Every profession has its own risks but we will not be intimidated.Threats cannot make us abandon our jobs," said Kavuludi.
Kavuludi was addressing the press in Nakuru following after visiting South Rift coordinator Wanyama Musiambo.
NPSC has already conducted vetting in Mombasa, Kisumu and Kakamega and they are set to kick off the exercise in Nakuru.
