A pastor in Kawangware was on Thursday found guilty of the murder of his ex-lover.

Paul Ng'ang'a was found guilty of strangling and stabbing Caroline Chajira in the face. 

High Court judge Jessie Lessit said Ng'ang'a used a wire to strangle the deceased after she threatened to expose their affair.

Ng'a ng'a had been pastoring Well of Faith church in Kawagrare, and was also found guilty of hitting the deceased with a metal bar on the head, making her unconscious.

The incident happened on March 9, 2012.

''The accused had an intention of killing the deceased. The attack was serious,'' said Lessit.

He awaits his sentence on Monday.
