According to the Nation, Ipoa said that Mr Nuno locked up and detained the said officer in a Monday incident and it was not until Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko intervened that the officer was released.

Through CEO Joel Mabonga, Ipoa said that together with another officer the said investigator had come to Nunu to serve him with a summons inviting him for interrogation over a past matter.

However, the OCPD refused to receive it and instructed the detectives to leave.

Ipoa says that the OCPD then charged against the officers and threatened them with his gun, further causing detainment of one.

"The investigators left the letter on the OCPD’s table. The OCPD pursued and grabbed one of the IPOA officers. He assaulted and threatened him with his official firearm. The OCPD caused him to be detained in the cells.”

Ipoa is probing the Kayole boss over allegations of abuse of office, corruption, and obstruction of justice.
