KCB Football Club has hired Harambee stars U-20 head coach John Kamau as the new tactician as the team makes a stab at returning to the top flight Kenyan Premier League in 2018.

Kamau, 40, who takes over with immediate effect has been tasked with steering the team back to top flight football in 2019. He has held various coaching roles with the Kenya national teams as well as several clubs.

The KCB Bank sponsored outfit has also made various changes in the technical bench. Elvis Ayany is retained as the Assistant Coach, Moses Irungu formerly of Talanta FC has been appointed 1st assistant coach while Michael Oyando will serve as trainer.

Other members of the technical bench include team manager Bramwel Simiyu, Joseph Okal Assistant team manager and Collins Odhiambo as the goalkeeper trainer.

While announcing the appointment, KCB Group Marketing and Communications Director Angela Mwirigi said: “We are keen on supporting the team to get back to the Premier League in our resolve to continually invest in sports.”
