KCB are optimistic of grabbing the 2017 Kenya Cup trophy when they entertain Kabras over the weekend.

This comes after the squad braved heavy rains last weekend to defeat Harlequins 19-12 during the Kenya cup semi- final clash.

KCB Head Coach Curtis Olago is optimistic that his squad has what it takes to defeat their opponents.

“It has been a great season winning one game after another, our journey is a testament of hard work, we will just play our game and leave the rest to God,” said Olago.

KCB sent a reserve team to the Nakuru 10 aside as the main squad prepared for a duelling Kenya Cup final clash.

“We have been keen on gaining maximum points and the boys have played very well this season, we are looking forward to grabbing a 5th Kenya Cup trophy,” said Olago.

The Bankers tactical brilliance has outsmarted most teams this season and the team will now be counting on all the players to give their all in one final match.

The squad will be counting on the influential Darwin Mukidza who had three penalties last weekend, Captain Curtis Lilako, Moses Amusala, Utility back Ahmed Shaban, Davis Chenge among other key players.

KCB team B will also be in the finals this weekend after a compelling season that saw the team win most of their clashes. KCB Strength and conditioning coach Michael Shamia adds that the squad is beaming with confidence.

“It’s been a great run for the youthful squad this season, we hope that the second team can grab us a double this weekend.

KCB RFC have been brilliant last season winning the Prinsloo sevens plate, Enterprise Cup and the Great Rift 10s Plate. KCB head coach will name his full squad later this week.
