KCB won the Kenya Cup 2016/2017 title in March, lifted the Enterprise Cup before wrapping it all with their sixth Floodies title Saturday. Their weekend win now puts them at par with Impala, six titles each to tie at second place on the hall of fame in the tournament behind University of Nairobi’s Mean Machine who lead with nine titles.

Pleased by how his boys put their heads together to reclaim the title they lost to Impala last year with yet another one-point determinant, 33-32 loss, KCB team manager Ronney Kangeta predicts another interesting Kenya cup season which kicks off this Saturday.

“Impala played well, more technical as we anticipated but our boys had come for work and they fulfilled their promise which was to deliver back the trophy to Lion’s den. The tournament has been a fantastic preparation for the Kenya cup which we have Kisii next on the November 25,” said Kangeta.

Meanwhile, Homeboyz finished third after the saw off University of Nairobi’s Mean Machine 34-22 in the 3rd/4th playoffs. Homeboyz pulled off a surprise package late in the game to score 12 points to win the match after being tied 22-22.
