Josephat Mogendi, who was a street boy, is among the four beneficiaries.
Mogendi managed to score 392 in last year’s KCPE exams.
James Maganda, KCB bank Kisii branch manager on Saturday said the program aims to help bright children from poor families to join secondary schools by paying school fees for 4 years.
“We are trying to help the few who we can in each county and we expect the beneficiaries to be disciplined throughout and work hard in school,” said Maganda.
The manager urged the beneficiaries across all counties to ensure they don’t let the bank down.
He said the bank will increase the number of beneficiaries from 4 to 8 in the coming years.
“We intend to increase the number of beneficiaries in future in all the 47 counties to enable bright and needy children to achieve their dreams,” he added.
