The Kisii County Bunge Sacco and Kisii County Youth Development Forum has set goals to help and educate women and youths living with disabilities.
According to members of the sacco, 2014 they have empowered many youths, hence, they are looking forward to educate more in terms of development.
Led by Denis Orioki who is the president of the Bunge Sacco said that the sacco implemented several projects that have transformed lives of the Kisii County youths.
“Through the several projects that we have implemented has really transformed youth’s lives and that is why we are targeting to empower more women and youths by the year 2020 which is our main vision, “said Orioki.
Moti Ongeri who is the youth leader to Kisii Youth Development Forum has said they have been doing good more so helping needy students through the MoU they signed with other parties. Among the parties, the MoU signed were World Vision in partnership with the youth forums in aid of helping students in Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology.
“We are devoted as the youths of this county through our forums so that we can achieve our goals and vision,” said Moti.
He added that due the population of over 300,000 youths in Kisii County, there is no doubt that the population contributes to the nation’s 60 percent of young people and hence they came up with a program dubbed ‘‘Yes Youth Can’’ which will enable them to develop.
