A KCPE candidate has died after he was electrocuted.

The boy dies on Tuesday after a lorry hit a power-line in Psigirio along the Makutano-Kitale road.

Another pupil was injured and admitted at the Kapenguria Referral Hospital.

According to Kapenguria police boss Anthony Wanjuu, 15-year-old Andrew Mutso was walking home from school at around 3pm when the lorry driver lost control, hit the electricity poles and the power line fell on him.

Mutso died on the spot.

He was a pupil at Psigirio Primary School.
