A class eight candidate from Daraja Mbili primary is expected to sit for his exams from Kisii Central police station after she was arrested on Sunday afternoon for allegedly defiling a minor.
Confirming the incident Kisii county acting children Officer Alice Nyang’au said that on Saturday evening the accused (name withheld due to age) allegedly ambushed the six year old pupil after at their home after promising to buy her sweets.
“As we talk the boy is at the central police station and will be arraigned in court once investigations are over. He will sit for his KCPE exams from the police cell,” she added.
According to Jane Nyanchama the victim’s grandmother she found out that the little girl would not walk and she was bleeding heavily and after interrogation, she said what happened.
“We thank the area chief for helping us in arresting the boy and we believe that justice will take its course,” she added.
The child is currently admitted at Iyabe Health Centre where a doctor confirmed she had been defiled.
