[Photo/capitalfm.co.ke]The Education cabinet secretary Fred Matiang'i has assured the country that everything is set for the upcoming 2017 national examinations.The exams are expected to kick off after the October 26 fresh presidential election.Addressing the press on Monday after a meeting with both education and security officials, Matiang'i noted that the exercise will be conducted with military precision.He further said the exams will be conducted in a transparent and credible manner warning of stiff action to anyone who will try and interfere with the exercise. The Acting Interior CS also stated the candidates will note be let down.“We are going to conduct the examinations with military precision. Everything must go as planned and we must ensure that we do not let our children down as adults and parents the last thing we should do is let our children down,” said Matiang'i.On his part, Kenya National Examination Council chairman George Magoha asked the County Education Officers to ensure that no examination papers leak.KCPE exams are set to begins on October 30, and end on November 3 while KCSE are scheduled to run from November 6-30 with 1.6 million candidates expected to seat for the exams.
